Accommodation options Lonquimay, The Araucanía region, Chile

There are two places with the name “Lonquimay” in the ninth region (the Araucanía) of Chile; one is the city called Lonquimay near the Pino Hachado frontier with Argentina and the other is Volcano Lonquimay.

Accommodation options near Volcano Lonquimay

• Hotel Corralco at the base of the Volcano is the closest accommodation. It is located within the Malalcahuello Reserve which contains some 12,000 hectares of Araucaria Forest, alpine vegetation and volcanic lava deposits .
• Just outside the Reserve there is a wide range of accommodation, including in and around the closest town, Malalcahuello just 10km from the Reserve. There are many cabins in Malalcahuello, some hostels (shared bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas) and a few lodge options where food is included and dining and living areas are shared.
