
Light Outdoor activities
Short cultural walks are offered with descendants of the Mapuche people and who have lived in the area all their lives. They have amazing stories to tell about the history of the area and how it was to live then in such an isolated place.
Local artisan products can be found in the local markets and some stores.
Cycling along the old steam train line is something achievable for people with moderate fitness. The wide gravel path has a very low gradient and offers great views along the way.
Photography and bird watching are popular pastimes in the area. Autumn is particularly beautiful for photographers due to the changing colours of the deciduous native trees which cover the mountains, with whole hillsides turning red. However, there are great options for photography in all seasons.
For the less physically able, the area offers some lovely scenic drives, with views of mountains and lakes, and innumerable places of interest to delay one´s return.
Several lakes are within a 1.5 hour drive and we are 2 hours from Lake Villarica where the well known tourist town, Pucon, is situated
