This cabin is named after the emblematic Araucaria araucana (Monkey Puzzle) tree. The cabin accommodates 6 people or 7 with the addition of an extra bed. The cabin is spacious with 3 bedrooms , 1.5 bathrooms & a kitchen fully equipped with everything you need, including a dishwasher. It has a reputation for excellent cleanliness amongst the clients.
Bedroom
The main bedroom contains a double bed, the second bedroom has two large single beds and the third contains a bunk bed. The beds are extremely comfortable due to high quality mattresses, brand name Rosen, high quality linen and Nordic duvets. There is an additional charge for an extra fold-up bed for the 7th person.
Bathroom
There is one complete bathroom with shower and a second bathroom with a toilet and hand basin. Towels, hair dryer and complementary soap and shampoo are provided.
Living Area
The living/dining area is spacious and adjoins the American style kitchen. .A slow combustion stove heats the living area while eco-convection heaters warm the bedrooms at night ensuring that our guests are totally comfortable although it may be snowing with below zero temperatures outside. The cabin has Wifi and DirecTV.
Kitchen
The kitchen includes everything needed to cook home style meals, it also contains a dishwasher. We also offer a breakfast service for an additional fee and may have some local produce such as pine nuts or goats cheese for sale.
Outside Space
There are 10 metres between this and the nearest cabin: Each window has a great view. From the terrace there are views over our creek and lagoon to mountains across the valley. It´s also a great place for stargazing at night. We make a conscious effort not to over-illuminate the property because the night sky is worth appreciating.
Location
The cabin is 8km from the ski field Corralco at the base of Volcano Lonquimay. There are many places where randonée, splitboard and walking with snowshoes can be practiced, including our own conservation property of 120hectares bordering Sierra Nevada and National Park Conguillio. On non-skiing days or visits in other seasons, there are endless opportunities for hiking, horseriding and other outdoor activities or for relaxing in one of the thermal baths in the area. Massage services, aromatherapy, reiki and other relaxing or restorative treatments are available.
There are at least 9 restaurants nearby offering lunches and dinners, receiving guests at night between 9pm and 11pm. Some also offer breakfast.
If you just need down time to unwind from work, Chile Wild-Las Vertientes is the ideal place for rest and recuperation, there is enough beauty and comfort not to need to go anywhere.
