Pichipehuen is a cosy mountain cabin for 5 (max. 7 people), located in the heart of Malalcahuello, offering a central base for all activities in the zone. The cabin is an older style house with an American style kitchen and renovated porcelain tiled bathroom.
Bedrooms
It is a split level cabin with one bedroom below (double bed) and two bedrooms on the second floor., one with a single bed and the second with a double bed. The main bedroom downstairs has an eco-convection heater, ideal for sleeping comfortably in winter. the upstairs bedrooms benefit from the rising heat from the slow combustion stove in the living.
There is space for a fold-up bed in the single room and the sofa bed in the living may also be used to accommodate a maximum of 8 people in total. Each additional bed over 5 persons has an additional cost.
Bathroom: The modern bathroom has heating, hair drier and complementary soap and shampoo. Towels are provided.
Living/Kitchen
The open style kitchen leads into the living and dining area. Native timber floor and furniture adds to the country feel of the cottage. The living room has Directv. There is no Wifi access in this cabin.
Outside space
It is located on approximately 400m2 of land The yard is fenced and there is room for parking inside the property which has a locked gate, providing peace of mind. A BBQ can be provided to use in the outside carport area.
Pichipehuén is located approximately 1.5 hours from the frontier Pino Hachado, a convenient stopover on the way to or from Temuco or Neuquén. It is just 1.5 hours from Temuco by car or 2 hours to Temuco airport.
