This chalet takes the name of the Canelo tree, sacred to the Mapuche indigenous people of the region who use it for many different purposes. The chalet has capacity for 4 people or a maximum of 5. It is wheelchair accessible in the interior and immediate exterior environment. It has an excellent reputation for cleanliness and has great mountain views of mountain and onsite lagoon.
Bedrooms
There are two spacious bedrooms, the first with a double bed and the second with two large single beds. The beds are very comfortable due to the quality Rosen mattresses, quality linen and Nordic duvets. Each bedroom has an eco- convection heater. An additional fold-up bed may be placed in either bedroom for an additional cost.
Bathroom
The bathroom is open plan for wheelchair access with grab rail in the shower and for the toilet. Underfloor heating in the bathroom ensures maximum comfort. A shower-commode chair is available on request. Towels, hairdryer and complementary shampoo and soap are provided.
Living Area
There is a slow combustion stove in the living, which maintains the cabin a comfortable temperature un winter. In summer it is pleasantly cool and protected from the heat due to excellent insulation. The living has DirecTV and the cabin has Wifi access.
Kitchen
The American style kitchen looks out over the lagoon, creek and mountain on the other side of the valley. It contains everything required to provide home style meals. However, if you are not interested in cooking, we provide a breakfast service, bringing it to your chalet at the hour desired between 07:30 and 10:30am. There are also nearby restaurants open for breakfast lunch and dinner. The restaurants receive diners until 9-11pm.
Outside Space
There are 40 metres between Canelo and the nearest chalet, providing seclusion and privacy. The large verandah is ideal for enjoying a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening with a BBQ and is ideal for bird watching. At night one can observe the constellations without the interruption of city lights.
Location
The cabin is 8km from the ski field Corralco at the base of Volcano Lonquimay. There are many places where randonée, splitboard and walking with snowshoes can be practiced, including our own conservation property of 120hectares bordering Sierra Nevada and National Park Conguillio. On non-skiing days or visits in other seasons, there are endless opportunities for hiking, horseriding and other outdoor activities or for relaxing in one of the thermal baths in the area. Massage services, aromatherapy, reiki and other relaxing or restorative treatments are available.
